MEET THE MERMAID

I am an Interior Designer for a local company. I am the wife of a retired Air Force member, mom to two almost-grown boys who are in college and are busy finding their own wings in creative ventures.

Growing up in coastal Virginia, the seashore has alway been an inspiration for my work, its awesome canvas sometimes calming, sometimes exciting, but always centerstage for its sheer beauty and awesome wonder. Creative and quirky, with a love for all things artistic my passion for architecture and history led me to VCU and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design. Working in both residential and commercial design for 30 years, I have lived, worked, and travelled many places on this map, but I have always heard the call of the sea, wherever life has taken me. I seem to surround myself with what I knew as a child to be unchanging and full of promise, the peaceful pull of the ocean’s power and mystery. I enjoy all things nautical and vintage, treasures that I call FINDINGS, has provided me a canvas to paint my reflections of the sea.
